Felted Knit Clutch

Make this sophisticated evening bag to carry or give as a gift.  During class you will knit the clutch and when you are finished, we will help you felt.  Then it’s up to you to add a fun piece of jewelry for embellishment.

One session + felting time:  $30

Skills required:  CO, K, BO, following written pattern instructions

Skills learned:  Knitting in the round, CO in middle of round, mirrored decreases, 3-needle bind off, reading and understanding knitting chart, felting.

Materials needed:  1 skein worsted weight feltable wool (Lamb’s Pride by Brown Sheep recommended), US #9 16″ circular needle, markers

Level:  advanced beginner

Difficulty level:  Easy

Required skills:  cast on, knit, purl, bind off

Skills learned:  knitting in the round, reading pattern, reading chart, interior cast on, interior bind off, mirrored decreases (k2tog, ssk), 3-needle bind off, felting

Materials:  1-2 skeins of Brown Sheep Lamb’s Pride worsted, 16-in circular needle size 10-10.5, 2 stitch markers, darning needle or crochet hook
