Ristra: Felted Peppers knitting Rose Decoration All All

Traditionally, ristras, strings of red peppers, hang on the doors and in the kitchens of homes in northern New Mexico from autumn through Christmas.  Knit your peppers from red, orange, brown, and green yarns then felt them before stringing them together. You will knit in the round and work short rows, as well as wrap and turn, including picking up the wrap to minimize the hole.  We will seam your piece in class and pick up and knit the pepper caps.  When you finish your peppers, come back to felt them.
